Youth cultural ambassador for the North Shore, Honlee, is organizing a virtual bannock bake instead of her original plan of a snowshoe in the woods with a bannock boil up that had to be cancelled due to pandemic restrictions. She is reaching out to the Local Table for Seniors to get some homemade recipes and also has her own recipe to share! It will be a follow-along baking event.
Youth cultural ambassador for the Eastern Townships, Danika, will organize a virtual scavenger hunt on the theme of “belonging”! She will be asking participants to collect—from their own homes—objects that connect them to their community in the Eastern Townships.
Youth cultural ambassadors Michael Golveo (Québec City), Rayana Speede (Montréal), and Irmak Taner (Montréal) have been planning their third event, which will be a creative writing workshop with prompts, poetry and open mic afterwards! Michael and Irmak have been reaching out to artists for the upcoming event while Rayana has been designing the event poster.
Youth cultural ambassador for the Outaouais, Holly, will host a conversation about “community” and will end the event evening with a trivia round.
